Valentine’s Day may fall on 14 February, but in 2026, love doesn’t end in a single evening. This year, The Maslow Sandton invites couples, friends and loved ones to stretch the romance across an entire weekend with a thoughtfully curated Love in Full Bloom experience—combining luxury accommodation, fine dining and a refined Sunday Society picnic.

While Valentine’s Day is traditionally about romance, it is also a moment to celebrate connection in all its forms—partners, best friends and even parents. The Maslow Sandton’s Valentine’s weekend offerings reflect exactly that spirit: elegant, indulgent and designed to be shared.

The Love in Full Bloom Weekend Escape

Friday the 13th proves to be anything but unlucky as it marks the start of The Love in Full Bloom Weekend Escape, available from R7 338 per couple, saving nearly R500.

This luxurious two-night celebration allows guests to arrive on Friday, 13 February, unwind in sophisticated comfort, and enjoy a weekend dedicated to connection, indulgence and ease.

The package includes:

  • Two nights’ luxury accommodation (check-in Friday, 13 February; check-out Sunday, 15 February)

  • Daily breakfast at Lacuna Bistro

  • Savour The Romance six-course Valentine’s dinner on Saturday evening

  • Love in Bloom Sunday Society Graham Beck picnic on Sunday

It’s a seamless blend of relaxation, flavour and romance—crafted for couples who want more than just one night.

Savour The Romance: A Valentine’s Culinary Affair

Taking place on Saturday, 14 February 2026, from 18h30 to 22h00, Savour The Romance transforms Lacuna Bistro into an intimate Valentine’s dining destination, complete with live entertainment and an elegant atmosphere.

The six-course menu has been carefully curated, with colour and presentation playing a central role in setting a romantic tone.

The evening begins with a beetroot-cured salmon rose with crème fraîche and citrus pearls, followed by a chilled beetroot velouté with caramelised gold beets, goat’s cheese foam and balsamic pearls.
For the entrée, guests enjoy chicken and mushroom tortellini with burnt orange reduction and sage butter.

A rosé sorbet with pink peppercorn brittle refreshes the palate before the main course, where guests choose between:

  • Beef fillet rossini with bone marrow, red wine jus, arancini and rainbow baby carrots
    or

  • Grilled sea bass with saffron beurre blanc, tabouleh, baby fennel and pickled lemon

Dessert is a decadent finale: chocolate and raspberry dome with almond praline and gold leaf.

The dinner is priced at R1 700 per couple, including a welcome drink, dinner and live entertainment.
Dress code: red with a touch of white.

For those wishing to linger longer, the romance can be extended with a one-night luxury stay for R4 140 per couple, including accommodation on Saturday night and breakfast at Lacuna Bistro on Sunday morning.

Sunday’s Love in Bloom: Sunday Society Graham Beck Picnic

From 13h00 to 17h00 on Sunday, 15 February, love continues in the gardens with Sunday’s Love in Bloom: Sunday Society Graham Beck picnic—a relaxed yet refined afternoon where romance lingers long after Valentine’s Day.

Guests are welcomed with bubbles on arrival, live music, gourmet picnic selections and a laid-back atmosphere designed for lingering conversations and shared moments.

The picnic menu includes a hot selection of:

  • Beef kebabs with chimichurri

  • Panko prawns with coconut aioli

  • Seared lasagne with chicken and butternut

  • Pork loin piccata with sauce vierge

  • Cheese arancini

The harvest table features:

  • Bread selection and dips

  • Flatbread and breadsticks

  • Hummus with tzatziki, babaganoush and garlic oil

  • Herby potato salad

  • Pasta salad

  • Traditional Greek salad

  • Cheese board with crackers and preserves

Each picnic basket includes popcorn, house-made potato crisps and desserts: churros, ginger cheesecake and red velvet opera cake.

The picnic is priced at R1 750 per couple, with a dress code of white with a touch of red.

For R4 190 per couple, the picnic can be paired with an overnight stay, including a romantic turndown, breakfast at Lacuna Bistro, check-in on Saturday and check-out on Sunday.
