YOUTH DAY CELEBRATIONGRADETOWN IS BACK

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, Grade Africa, renowned for its fashion influence and commitment to urban culture, proudly announces the return of GradeTown – Johannesburg’s premier youth day celebration igniting the vibrancy of SA youth.

Crafted to honor the spirit of young South Africans and the dynamic tapestry of their culture, GradeTown returns with an even bigger vision. This experiential lifestyle experience aims to provide a platform for youth to showcase their talents, forge connections across diverse backgrounds, and celebrate their collective identity.

Returning to Midrand in Joburg North, set against the backdrop of Waterfall City Park at the Mall of Africa, GradeTown will take place on Sunday, 16th June 2024. 

This year’s event once again promises an electrifying array of activities, including live music performances by some of the hottest talents in the country, engaging talks, esports tournaments, and more.

GradeTown, this year marks Grade Africa’s 6th anniversary, boasting an impressive roster of artists at the forefront of South Africa’s music scene, including Young Stunna, Ziggy4x, Loatinover pounds alongside Don Delicious, Babywhitz, RoxpaperszScissors and Chrizz Beatz & more. Radio presenter Hype will host the lifestyle extravaganza.

In addition to the music, GradeTown will host a diverse array of entertainment, including curated activities such as gaming and a product customization lab, various brand activations and fun rides ensuring an unforgettable experience for all family members. Attendees can also indulge in a variety of culinary delights from the food and beverage stalls scattered throughout the venue.

Zaid Osman, frontman of Grade Africa, emphasizes the event’s commitment to providing a safe and inclusive space for young people to express themselves and celebrate their diversity.“GradeTown is a testament to the resilience, creativity, and power of South African youth,” says Osman. “Our aim is to shine a spotlight on the often-overlooked young creatives and offer an unforgettable experience that fosters connections and empowerment.”
