OPPO has launched the OPPO Watch X2, its most advanced smartwatch yet, in South Africa. It combines precision health tracking, all-day battery life, and a sleek, durable design made for South African lifestyles.

Built for people who move between boardrooms, gym floors, hiking trails and school runs, the OPPO Watch X2 is a premium wearable that balances form and function. It offers an intuitive user experience, enhanced smart features, and a 60-second health scan that delivers real-time insight into heart rate, stress levels, and blood oxygen, all at the tap of a button.

With up to five days of battery life on a single charge and military-grade durability for everyday wear and tear, the OPPO Watch X2 is made for staying connected, active and in control, no matter where life takes you. Whether you’re juggling deadlines or unplugging on the weekend, it’s the smartwatch that keeps up and helps you stay ahead.

Elevated Design for Everyday Wear

Encased in a polished stainless steel body with a premium titanium alloy bezel, the OPPO Watch X2 brings a refined yet rugged sophistication to your wrist. Designed to move seamlessly from early gym sessions to boardroom meetings and weekend hikes, it is as versatile as it is striking. The chassis is built for both form and function, combining polished metallic contours with a seamless integration of buttons and frame for a sturdy yet lightweight structure.

Its large 1.5-inch AMOLED display delivers crisp resolution, smooth refresh rate, and an impressive 2200 nit peak brightness for exceptional clarity whether you’re indoors or navigating direct sunlight. The display is protected by durable 1.25-millimetre Sapphire Crystal Glass, offering greater resistance to scratches and fingerprints while maintaining optical brilliance.

The Watch X2 meets the MIL-STD 810H United States military standard for durability and is rated IP68 for dust resistance and 5ATM for water resistance. That means it is ready for daily wear and tear, from unexpected rainstorms to demanding workouts. More than a timepiece, the OPPO Watch X2 is a smart and stylish companion built to power you through whatever the day holds, with a premium design and performance to match.

Wellness Reimagined

South Africans are becoming increasingly proactive about their health, and the OPPO Watch X2 is designed to support that journey in smarter, more impactful ways. It all starts with the standout 60-second health check, which gives you fast and accurate readings for heart rate, blood oxygen, and arterial stiffness anytime and anywhere. This real-time data is synced to the OHealth app, making it easy to track your well-being or share insights with a healthcare provider.

Under the surface, a powerful 8-channel heart rate sensor and 16-channel blood oxygen sensor deliver industry-leading precision. The Watch X2 also supports ECG functionality and arterial stiffness monitoring, helping users identify early signs of cardiovascular issues with a level of insight usually reserved for clinical settings.

Sleep is not just tracked, it is understood. Advanced sleep tracking on the Watch X2 monitors everything from sleep breathing rate and blood oxygen levels to snoring, movement, and baseline heart rate, even during short naps. Weekly summaries via the OHealth app provide a deeper view of your sleep duration, regularity, snoring risk, and overall sleep score, helping you build habits for better rest.

Mental well-being is just as important. That is why the Watch X2 includes heart rate variability tracking to help you monitor your stress response, along with guided breathing and mindfulness tools to help you reset in the moment.

Thanks to support for Health Connect by Android, you can securely sync your health data with other compatible apps, putting you in full control of your digital health ecosystem. With powerful sensors, meaningful insights, and an intuitive interface, the OPPO Watch X2 does not just track your health, it helps you live better.

Made to Move

From fitness newcomers to seasoned athletes, the OPPO Watch X2 is built to perform. With over 100 workout modes and automatic recognition for walking, running, cycling, swimming, and rowing, it tracks your effort the moment you start moving with no button press required.

Its dual-frequency GPS, L1 and L5, supported by two dedicated antennas, ensures pinpoint accuracy even in areas with weak signal. A high-precision accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer capture every stride and shift in movement. Developed in close collaboration with Wear OS, these sensors work together to deliver consistent and accurate performance tracking across any environment.

Running posture recognition offers runners a major upgrade. It offers real-time insights like ground contact time, step frequency, stride length, and left-right balance, helping improve form, reduce injury risk, and optimise performance indoors or outdoors.

For racquet sport lovers, the Watch X2 now includes dedicated badminton and tennis tracking. In badminton mode, developed in-house by OPPO, the watch analyses explosiveness, endurance, activity, confrontation, and offence, offering post-match feedback to improve your swing and strategy. Whether you are training hard or playing for fun, your stats are always within reach.

Battery Life that Keeps Up

With everything it does, you might expect to charge the Watch X2 constantly. But thanks to a large 648 milliamp-hour battery, Watch VOOC Flash Charging, and OPPO’s dual engine architecture, it is built for endurance.

A quick 10-minute top-up gives you up to 24 hours of power, and a full charge takes just 80 minutes. Under the hood, two chipsets, the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and BES2700 MCU, work together to balance performance and efficiency. The low-power chip handles routine tasks like notifications and calls, while the high-performance processor kicks in for heavier apps. The result is up to 5 days of Smart Mode use and 16 days in its extremely useful and functional Power Saver Mode, with no daily charging required.

Smart on the Inside

Running on Wear OS by Google, the Watch X2 seamlessly connects to your smartphone, giving you smart notifications, Google Assistant, Maps, Wallet, and more directly on your wrist. Plus, with support for Google Fast Pair, setup is quick and easy.

From managing calls and texts to controlling your camera or music playback, the OPPO Watch X2 helps you stay in control without pulling out your phone. You can even personalise the experience with new apps and watch faces from Google Play.

Price and Availability

“With the OPPO Watch X2, we are not just offering a smartwatch, we are delivering a companion that empowers South Africans to take charge of their health, time and ambitions. It is smart technology with a human purpose,” says OPPO SA’s Head of Retail, Bradley Young.

The OPPO Watch X2 will be available in Lava Black with a sporty rubber strap  It will be available from 20 June, for an RRP of  R6999 at leading operators and retailers.
