From heartbreak to hype — here’s everything you need to know.

The beloved Hey Neighbour Festival, originally set to light up the stage this August 2025, has officially been rescheduled to December 2025. While this news may come as a surprise, the decision is part of a bold and strategic move to elevate the festival to unprecedented heights — and ensure that it thrives for years to come.

The much-anticipated event was set to host a show-stopping lineup including Doja Cat, Central Cee, Black Coffee, and Leon Thomas, among other global icons. But rather than deliver anything less than extraordinary, the organisers are taking a bold step back — so they can leap forward and deliver a world-class experience like no other on the continent.

💬 From the CEO: A Transparent Turnaround

In a heartfelt statement, Glen Netshipise, CEO of Hey Neighbour Festival, shared:

“As CEO of Hey Neighbour Festival, I want to acknowledge the disappointment caused by the postponement of the 2025 event. We understand the impact this has on our loyal festival-goers, sponsors, and artists.

We also recognise that our communication around the challenges we’ve faced hasn’t been as clear as it should have been, and for that, we sincerely apologise. Moving forward, we are committed to improving our transparency and communication, ensuring that everyone is kept informed as we work towards delivering an even better festival in December 2025.”

Netshipise added:

“We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support from our sponsors, artists, and fans. Your faith fuels our passion, and it’s this shared energy that will make Hey Neighbour Festival 2025 the unforgettable experience South Africa truly deserves.”

🎫 What This Means for Ticket Holders, Sponsors & Artists

If you’ve already secured your ticket, sponsorship, or slot on the lineup — don’t panic! Here’s what you need to know:

  • 🎟 Tickets:
All previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the new dates. The official rescheduled dates and full artist lineup will be announced on 30 September 2025.

  • 💰 Refunds:
Those who can’t make the new dates need not worry — all refund requests will be honoured and processed by 10 October 2025.

  • 🤝 Sponsors:
Our valued sponsors will be contacted directly by our partnerships team with tailored updates and engagement plans.

  • 🎤 Artists:
Discussions are actively underway to reconfirm the availability of the original A-list talent, and we’re working on adding even more surprises to the stage.

🔥 What’s Next: The Countdown to December Begins
