Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to come with pressure, panic bookings or second-guessing the menu. This year, Boardwalk Hotel & Casino is taking care of the details with a thoughtfully curated Valentine’s Day buffet dinner at Kipling’s, designed for couples who want to focus on what matters most — being present with one another.

On 14 February 2026, Kipling’s will transform into a setting of indulgence and ease, where the evening unfolds seamlessly from the first sip to the final sweet bite. Guests are welcomed at 18h00 with a welcome drink, setting the tone for a celebration built around flavour, comfort and connection.

A Menu Designed to Be Shared

The dining experience begins with Amuse Bouche, followed by a refined selection of three starters, allowing couples to ease into the evening at their own pace. The heart of the celebration arrives with a trio of main course options, each crafted to satisfy different cravings while maintaining a sense of indulgence.

Guests can choose between rich and crispy roasted pork belly, tender and juicy Karoo lamb, or flavour-packed pan-roasted chicken supreme confit leg, all served with carefully paired sides that complete the plate without overwhelming it.

And just when it seems the evening has peaked, dessert takes centre stage.

A Sweet Ending Worth Lingering Over

The dessert menu offers something for every kind of romantic. For those drawn to layered decadence, the pistachio opera-chocolate features pistachio sweet bread, pistachio buttercream, candied pistachio and apricot gel. Traditionalists can opt for baklava with nut filling and vanilla ice cream, while those craving something bright and balanced will find satisfaction in a lemon meringue tart with frozen berries and meringue crumble.

Each option is designed to be savoured slowly — the kind of dessert that invites conversation, shared tastes and lingering moments.

Let the Night Continue

After dinner, the evening doesn’t have to end. Couples are invited to carry the energy forward with a visit to the Boardwalk Casino, where the excitement of the gaming floor adds an extra layer of possibility to an already memorable night. Whether it’s a quick spin or simply soaking in the atmosphere, it’s the perfect way to round off Valentine’s Day.

At R550 per person, the experience offers exceptional value for a complete evening of fine food, atmosphere and entertainment — without the stress of planning or decision-making.
