On Friday, 4 December 2026, one of dancehall’s most recognisable international stars will take over the Sunbet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria, bringing his global sound to South African audiences.
The Pretoria performance forms part of Sean Paul’s South African tour, with the artist also scheduled to perform in Cape Town and Durban.
For fans across the country, that makes the Pretoria show particularly significant. There are only three South African opportunities to experience the dancehall superstar live on this tour.
Two Decades of Dancefloor Anthems
Sean Paul does not need much introduction.
More than two decades after tracks such as Get Busy and Temperature took over dance floors around the world, the Grammy-winning artist continues to connect with audiences across genres and generations.
His distinctive sound has also become a familiar part of South African party culture.
That connection makes his upcoming Pretoria performance more than another international concert on the calendar. It is a chance for local fans to experience an artist whose music has remained part of the soundtrack to countless celebrations.
And this December, that soundtrack is coming to Time Square.
Sunbet Arena Welcomes Another Global Star
Sean Paul joins a growing list of international performers who have appeared at Sunbet Arena in recent years.
The venue’s ability to attract major global touring acts continues to strengthen its position as an important destination for large-scale entertainment in South Africa.
For Time Square General Manager Bryan O’Connor, the upcoming concert is another moment for the venue to showcase that appeal.
“We’re proud that Sunbet Arena continues to attract some of the world’s biggest artists, and Sean Paul’s Pretoria performance is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the summer.”
O’Connor adds that Sean Paul’s music has connected with fans across generations and says the venue is excited to welcome audiences for what promises to be an unforgettable night.

There is something fitting about Sean Paul bringing his global dancehall sound to South Africa at the height of the summer entertainment season.
His music has travelled across borders, crossed genres and stayed relevant across generations. Now, Pretoria gets its turn.
On Friday, 4 December 2026, Sunbet Arena will become one of only three South African stages welcoming Sean Paul during this tour.
