Spring has arrived, the days are getting warmer, and there is a new reason to leave the city behind.

The Forum Company is introducing a monthly dining experience at L’Antico Giardino, inviting guests to slow down, gather around the table and enjoy seasonal food in a picturesque garden setting.

Taking place on the last Saturday of every month, the experience will offer a different theme, menu and dining experience each month.

The first edition, A Spring Harvest Table, arrives on 26 September 2026 with a celebration of the abundance of spring and summer.

A table inspired by the season

The Spring Harvest Table is built around fresh, seasonal produce and the pleasure of sharing a generous feast.

Guests will dine beneath the trees while enjoying a menu filled with vibrant flavours and thoughtful combinations.

The feast includes a summer orzo salad with roasted peaches and fresh basil, bringing together sweet, fresh and aromatic notes.

There is also maple-glazed sweet potato salad with coriander, chilli, tahini and sesame, followed by salmon fishcakes with drunken apricot coulis and pickled gooseberries.

For the main course, the table features whole roasted baby chicken with wild garlic, dill and lime.

The menu also includes cumin and elderflower honey-roasted rainbow carrots with crispy chickpeas and fresh garden herbs, adding another colourful seasonal element to the feast.

It is a menu designed around the idea of abundance, with guests invited to experience the food as part of a shared table.

Dessert gets its own moment

The seasonal celebration continues when it is time for dessert.

Guests can enjoy a Turkish delight-inspired pavlova with rose crème pâtisserie and strawberries, combining floral notes with fresh seasonal fruit.

There is also an Earl Grey and honey cheesecake, bringing the meal to a rich and elegant close.

Together, the menu reflects the spirit of the Harvest Table: seasonal ingredients, generous portions and a dining experience designed to be enjoyed around a table with others.

A monthly date for the diary

The L’Antico Giardino Harvest Table is priced at R580 per person.

Following the September launch, the experience will return on:

  • 26 September 2026
  • 31 October 2026
  • 28 November 2026

Each month promises a different themed lunch, menu and dining experience, giving guests another reason to return as the seasons and menus evolve.

For those looking to trade the city’s pace for an afternoon beneath the trees, L’Antico Giardino offers a setting where the garden and the table become part of the experience.

And with a new theme arriving each month, this is more than a single seasonal lunch. It is an invitation to make the Harvest Table a regular date on the calendar.
