“We still have too many female DJs not getting enough training and mentorship to sharpen their skills. [There should be more] programs and campaigns from government and the industry to push female DJs to pursue what they love.” – Expresses Rosetta D33p
The Durban DJ grew up in an under-resourced township called Clermont Rosetta explains that she grew up in a community where opportunities were few and far between, but it was her love of music that led her to become a DJ. She is now setting flames to the music industry despite growing up in a community where there are very few success stories.
Rosetta D33p has big plans to elevate her career and take it to the next level by pursuing the development of skills in production by again teaming up with the DJ and Music Production Institute. With plans to release music of her own, she believes that women have a lot to offer in terms of producing their music.
“I have ventured into production and would love to create a project from start to finish as a female producer, master the song, and complete it on my own. Drawing inspiration from South African success stories like DJ Zinhle and Black Coffee with dreams to collaborate with in the future.” Rosetta D33p shares. “I will always be grateful for studying DJ at DJ and Music Institute because it opened up so many doors for my dreams to come through.”
“ An inspiring story to say the least, we are proud of Rosetta’s achievements after completing her course with us. I believe her journey is just starting” – Enthuses Elster Pieterse from DJ and Music Institute”
