Multi-platinum rock icons set to ignite FNB Stadium in one of South Africa’s biggest live music events of 2026

For decades, South African fans have blasted the music, memorised the lyrics and watched the legendary performances from afar. Now, after years of anticipation, one of the most influential rock bands of the modern era is finally making its way to local shores.

Limp Bizkit has officially announced its first-ever South African concert, bringing its explosive live show to Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium on Sunday, 13 December 2026.

The announcement marks a landmark moment for South Africa’s live entertainment calendar, giving local fans the opportunity to experience one of rock music’s most recognisable and enduring acts in person for the very first time.

Known for their high-octane performances, larger-than-life stage presence and era-defining catalogue of hits, Limp Bizkit’s South African debut is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated music events of 2026.

A Band That Defined a Generation

Few bands have left a mark on late 1990s and early 2000s popular culture quite like Limp Bizkit.

The multi-platinum-selling group became a global phenomenon through a unique fusion of rock, rap and alternative music, creating a sound that resonated with millions of fans across the world.

Over the years, the band has built a reputation not only for its chart success but also for its electrifying live performances that transform stadiums into unforgettable celebrations of music, energy and fan connection.

Now, South African audiences will finally get the opportunity to witness that spectacle firsthand.

FNB Stadium Set for a Night of Rock History

The concert will take place at Johannesburg’s iconic FNB Stadium on Sunday, 13 December 2026.

The venue has hosted some of the world’s biggest international artists and events, and Limp Bizkit’s arrival adds another major chapter to its storied history.

Fans can expect an adrenaline-fuelled production packed with the energy and intensity that have become synonymous with the band’s global reputation.

For many South African rock fans, the show represents more than a concert. It is the culmination of years of waiting for a band that helped shape an entire generation’s musical identity.

Ticket Information

Tickets for Limp Bizkit’s first South African performance will go on sale to the general public at 09h00 on Friday, 12 June 2026.

Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster South Africa and Big Concerts.

Before general sales begin, several pre-sale opportunities will be available for fans.

The Big Concerts Fan Club pre-sale opens at 09h00 on Thursday, 11 June and runs until 08h59 on Friday, 12 June. Existing Fan Club members are encouraged to monitor their inboxes for additional information.

Mastercard cardholders will also enjoy special access to tickets through an exclusive pre-sale window. Mastercard Presale begins at 09h00 on Wednesday, 10 June and closes at 08h59 on Friday, 12 June. In addition, World and World Elite Mastercard cardholders will have access to preferred tickets from 09h00 on Friday, 12 June.

Fans Urged to Buy Through Official Channels

Event organisers have issued a strong warning against purchasing tickets through unauthorised secondary resale platforms.

Fans are advised not to buy tickets from Viagogo or similar resale websites, as such tickets are unlawfully resold at inflated prices and may not be valid for entry.

Organisers have confirmed that ticket holders who purchase through unauthorised sellers risk being denied access to the event and may not qualify for refunds.

One of 2026’s Biggest Concert Announcements

The arrival of Limp Bizkit represents another major win for South Africa’s thriving live entertainment industry, which continues to attract globally recognised artists and world-class productions.

For longtime fans who have spent years hoping for a South African tour date, the wait is finally over.

On 13 December 2026, FNB Stadium will become the stage for a historic first encounter between Limp Bizkit and South African audiences—an event expected to deliver the kind of unforgettable energy that has made the band a live music phenomenon around the world.
