Get ready for the most glamorous event of the year as a new Queen and King will be crowned at the Annual Mr and Miss Sovereign Western Cape Pageant this weekend.

On Saturday 2 November 2024, 14 finalists will battle it at the prestigious Joseph Stone Auditorium for a night of beauty, talent, and excitement. Contestants from all over Western Cape will showcase their charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent on stage in their best in themed wear, swimwear and evening wear as they vie for these very prestigious titles.

The newly-crowned Queen and King will take over the reigns from last year’s winners: Ina Propriette and Garth Arnolds.

The Sovereign pageant, however, is more than just entertainment. It also serves as a vehicle to educate our communities to respect and show tolerance towards people from diverse sexual orientation, cultural, religious – and racial backgrounds and stands firm in the belief that deconstructing and breaking down the barriers of shame and intolerance are important steps in creating a just and equitable society.

“We are dedicated to breaking down barriers of shame and intolerance, fostering a more inclusive and equitable society. Proceeds from our event are channelled to support various charities and assist our reigning Kings and Queens in their philanthropic and fundraising endeavour,” shares Barry Reid, pageant director.

Before selecting the winners the Top 5 contestants will be challenged, by an esteemed panel of judges with a Q&A in order to determine who has the full package to represent not only the Sovereign brand, but also the LGBTQIA+ community, before the ultimate winners for 2024 are announced.

This year, entertainment will be provided by the likes of SA singer and songwriter Craig Lucas, former Idols finalist Zoe Zana, Beaulah: Queens van die Kaap stars Manila von Teez and Emogan Moore, as well as the Omnia Dancers. Seasoned MC, Naythan Kayser, will keep the crowd well entertained and the show flowing flawlessly.

This show promises to deliver high voltage entertainment and great vibes so get your ticket now from Computicket to avoid disappointment for only R200 each.
