The ever-popular Ultimate Braai Master will be back on screen with Season 8 from 5th February 2023. Season 8 will again feature well-known celebrity judges; the inimitable Peter Goffe-Wood, ultimate tip master Benny Masekwameng, and a yet-to-be-revealed, exciting new host.

Season 7 delivered an audience of over eight million viewers across e.tv, eExtra and eReality. And, the show has gone global; Netflix launched Season 7 on their streaming platform in February 2022 with the show trending in the top 10 for the first four weeks.  With the ‘humble’ South African Braai now gaining worldwide recognition, Season 8 promises to be another nation building, nail biting showcase of the best of best.

Season 8 will officially be launched live on e.tv’s The South African Morning Show this Friday 23rd September.  Both 2023 judges will be joined by Season 7 winners The Iron Tummies (Yash Singh and Taahir Abader) to discuss tips and tactics and what we can expect from Season 8.

Sivan Pillay, CEO of Trace Studios, says “Another very exciting chapter in the Ultimate Braai Master journey lies ahead of us. Trace Studios looks forward to producing another series and is very excited about the sponsor partnerships that G2Connection has brought to the UBM brand. In addition, there will be a new host presenting the show this round, watch-this-space!”

South African firm favourite Robertsons Spices is the headline partner. “We’re proud to be associated with season 8 of Ultimate Braai Master. Like Robertsons, the show was established in South Africa for creative food explorers who are as passionate as we are about a food occasion that brings everyone together – the South African braai. Through this partnership we hope to remind South Africans of two things; that Robertsons is expertly crafted for the ultimate braai and that they should never stop exploring and travelling, especially when it involves finding the perfect flavours.” says Dehné Peters, Robertsons’ Brand Manager.

Associate partner for the show is Windhoek, South Africa’s premium lager. Windhoek’s Senior Brand Manager, Bontu Mulaudzi believes “the partnership with Ultimate Braai Master represents further exploration of the relationship between beer and the culinary world. Ultimate Braai Master continues to push the boundaries and embraces creativity in the local culinary industry. The show’s focus on empowering cooks from all cultures and walks of life fits in well with our core brand message of embracing authenticity and real passion. We also appreciate that outdoor entertainment lifestyle is one that so many South Africans embrace – and we say, ‘here’s to 100% moments with Windhoek’ to the next Ultimate Braai Master.”
