This festive season, Mall of Africa isn’t just decorating for the holidays — it’s transforming into a world of imagination, adventure and heartfelt generosity. From 28 November to 27 December, South Africa’s iconic retail destination will roll out an unforgettable lineup of family experiences, charitable initiatives, and extended trading hours designed to make every visit magical.

Where Zootropolis Comes Alive

The star attraction of this season is a nine-hole mini golf adventure inspired by Disney’s “Zootropolis 2”, brought to life through a dynamic collaboration between FNB, Mall of Africa, and VW. Set in the lush outdoors at Waterfall City Park, the experience welcomes visitors daily from 9 AM to 8 PM.

Each carefully crafted hole draws players into the colourful, quirky, fast-paced universe of Zootropolis — from its bustling animal districts to its wildest corners — offering a perfect blend of challenge, creativity and family fun.
Tickets start at R85 per person and are available on Howler.co.za or at the gate, though pre-booking is strongly encouraged.

Meanwhile, movie fans can head straight from the greens to the big screen as Disney’s “Zootropolis 2” debuts at Ster-Kinekor Mall of Africa on Friday, 28 November. The sequel sees beloved detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde taking on a thrilling new case that pushes their partnership to its limits.

A Season to Give Back

From Saturday, 22 November, the Crystal Court becomes home to an enchanting Disney installation created in partnership with FNB, PEP, The Lego Group and Toys R Us. Featuring over 600 Disney and Marvel plush toys, the activation will shine a spotlight on Reach For A Dream, inviting shoppers to help bring hope to children facing critical illnesses.

Giving is woven into the season’s fabric in more ways than one. From 5 to 24 December, shoppers can make use of the mall’s convenient gift-wrapping stations, located in the Crystal Court and Truworths Court. All proceeds will support the Gift of the Givers Foundation and its upgrade of Dr Mathole Motshekga Primary School in Rabie Ridge — turning every wrapped gift into an act of impact.

Extended Hours for Seamless Holiday Shopping

With more than 300 world-class retail and lifestyle stores, Mall of Africa is extending its operating hours to help shoppers find the perfect gifts with ease:

  • 5 – 18 December: 9 AM – 9 PM

  • 19 – 23 December: 9 AM – 10 PM

Whether shopping for family, indulging in festive treats or joining in one of the many activities, visitors will have ample time to soak up the atmosphere.

A Season of Connection

“Mall of Africa continues to be a place where fun, festivities and kindness come together,” says Yasmeen Lorgat, General Manager of Mall of Africa. “This festive season, we’re celebrating the joy of giving, and the excitement of unforgettable family experiences. We can’t wait to welcome shoppers as they enjoy this time to connect, to share and to create lasting memories.”
