For parents, preparing for a new baby can come with a long list of questions, purchases and decisions. For families with toddlers, keeping little ones entertained while finding products that support their growing needs can be just as demanding.
This September, Woodlands Boulevard Shopping Centre is making that journey a little easier.
From Friday, 4 September to Sunday, 6 September, the centre will host the Woodlands Baby & Toddler Expo, bringing together baby and toddler essentials, services, products and family-friendly experiences for three days of discovery.
The expo will run from 9am to 5pm daily, with 50 local baby and toddler brands and vendors showcasing their products and services throughout the mall passages.
One stop for growing families
From newborn essentials and nursery products to toys, clothing and educational resources, the expo is designed to give parents an opportunity to explore a wide range of offerings in one convenient location.
More importantly, visitors will have the chance to connect directly with local businesses that understand the everyday needs of growing families.
“There is so much to think about when you are preparing for a baby or raising little ones, and parents are often looking for trusted products, useful advice and practical solutions in one convenient place,” says Barbara Perry, Marketing Manager of Woodlands Boulevard Shopping Centre.
“We wanted our Baby & Toddler Expo to feel useful, easy to explore and enjoyable for the whole family, while also giving local businesses a strong platform to meet the parents they serve.”
That balance between practicality and family fun sits at the heart of the three-day event.
Something for the little ones too
While parents browse the exhibitors, younger visitors will have their own reason to get excited.
Dienkie and Doedles will make two special Meet & Greet appearances during the expo.
The first will take place at 11am on Saturday, 5 September, followed by another appearance at 11am on Sunday, 6 September.
Both Meet & Greets will be held at the Main Promotions Court near Entrance 4, giving little visitors the opportunity to meet the characters during their family day out.
Entry is free
Families can attend the expo free of charge, making it easy to browse the exhibitors, shop and explore the event at their own pace.
For those looking for a little extra value, visitors can also register at the event for R150.
The registration package includes a goodie bag valued at a minimum of R500, a free 360-degree photo experience and entry into a draw to win hampers.
Registration will take place at the Main Promotions Court opposite the iStore at Entrance 4.
There is also an option to reserve and pay for a goodie bag before the expo. However, parents will need to move quickly, as only 500 goodie bags are available.
Goodie bags can be reserved through the event registration form.
Three days of family discovery
Whether the mission is finding newborn basics, adding something new to the nursery, discovering toddler toys, refreshing the children’s wardrobe or exploring educational resources, the Woodlands Baby & Toddler Expo brings plenty of options together in one place.
But beyond the shopping list, the event is also about giving families an opportunity to discover local suppliers, connect with businesses and enjoy time together.
With free entry, 50 local brands and vendors, character Meet & Greets and optional goodie bag registration, Woodlands Boulevard’s Baby & Toddler Expo is shaping up to be a useful and fun-filled weekend for families with little ones.
