You get Music in the Jungle.

On Saturday, 17 October 2026, Cradle Boutique Hotel will celebrate its 10th anniversary with an outdoor music and nature experience designed to take guests beyond the traditional festival.

Set at The Pavilion, Cradle Boutique Hotel, in the heart of the Cradle of Humankind, Music in the Jungle will bring together music, nature, culture, food, hospitality and community for a celebration that moves from day into night.

And the setting is just as important as the soundtrack.

A Festival With Nature at Its Heart

Forget the conventional urban festival environment.

Music in the Jungle will take place within a spectacular 9,000-hectare nature reserve, giving guests the opportunity to escape the city and spend the day surrounded by the landscapes of the Cradle of Humankind.

The experience is built around that connection.

Live performances, DJs, exceptional food and premium hospitality will come together as the day progresses, moving from relaxed daytime sounds towards an electric evening atmosphere.

It is music in a setting where nature becomes part of the experience.

The Soundtrack Is Big

The lineup brings together an impressive mix of South African musical talent.

Taking to the Music in the Jungle experience are:

  • Sjava
  • Kabza De Small
  • Focalistic
  • Mörda
  • Langa Mavuso
  • Thatohatsi
  • Thando Zide
  • Kuli Chana
  • Lamiez Holworthy

Together, the lineup offers a musical journey across hip-hop, amapiano, Afro-house, R&B, soul and contemporary African sounds.

That diversity is central to the experience.

Music in the Jungle is not positioned simply as a day of performances. It is designed as a celebration where different sounds, people and creative energies meet within one natural environment.

More Than a Music Festival

The idea behind Music in the Jungle goes beyond what happens on stage.

Guests are invited to spend the day at the Cradle of Humankind, surrounded by nature while enjoying live music, DJs, food and hospitality.

The experience is designed to evolve throughout the day.

Relaxed daytime sounds will give way to an electric evening atmosphere, creating a celebration that moves with its surroundings.

The result is a different kind of meeting point between music and nature.

Ten Years of Cradle Boutique Hotel

There is another reason for the celebration.

Cradle Boutique Hotel is turning 10.

For a decade, the hotel has welcomed guests to one of Gauteng’s distinctive destinations, with experiences inspired by its natural surroundings.

Music in the Jungle brings that journey together through the elements that define the celebration: music, culture, nature, food, hospitality and community.

For General Manager Wayne Fisher, the event is a fitting way to mark the milestone.

“Music in the Jungle is a very special way for us to celebrate 10 incredible years of Cradle Boutique Hotel.”

Fisher says the intention was to create an experience that reflects what makes the destination unique, bringing people together through great music, exceptional hospitality and the beauty of the Cradle of Humankind.

“We’re incredibly excited to welcome guests for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration,” he adds.

Dress for the Jungle

The invitation is simple: come dressed for the jungle.

Guests are encouraged to arrive ready for a full day of music, celebration and entertainment.

With the event taking place outdoors within the Cradle of Humankind, the natural setting is not simply a backdrop. It is part of what makes Music in the Jungle different.

Music in the Jungle is shaping up as a celebration that brings two very different energies together.

There is the pulse of live music.

Then there is the tranquillity of the Cradle of Humankind.

Between them sits an experience built around food, hospitality, culture and community.

For Cradle Boutique Hotel, it is also a celebration of 10 years.

For guests, it is an invitation to step away from the city, spend a day in nature and experience a soundtrack that stretches across some of South Africa’s most recognisable contemporary sounds.

Music. Nature. Celebration.

Welcome to Music in the Jungle.
