HUAWEI has launched its latest addition to the HUAWEI nova Series: the HUAWEI nova Y72. This sleek and stylish device offers a range of features that make it a standout choice for users who value performance and convenience. With a massive 6000mAh battery, a versatile X Button, a 50MP camera system and a 6.75-inch display. The HUAWEI nova Y72 is a powerhouse of performance and innovation that delivers exceptional user experience together with the addition of the new X Button makes accessing commonly used apps a breeze.

The HUAWEI nova Y72 will be available through the HUAWEI’s online store and operator channels from 1 February 2024, for a recommended retail price of R4999 or through operators from R329 a month over 24 months.

The HUAWEI nova Y72 packs a robust 6000mAh battery within its slender and lightweight frame and as a result out performs other smartphones in its class in terms of battery life. Users of the HUAWEI nova Y72 can enjoy up to 31 hours of video playback, 80 hours of music, 30 hours of continuous calls and up to 25 hours of web browsing.

New to the nova series, with a real standout feature, is the X Button, which can be found on the left hand side of the device. With a single click, for quick access to your favourite apps, this feature organises and displays preferred apps in a convenient quick menu, enabling users to customise and set default apps effortlessly. Once enabled it offers easy press-and-hold or double-click access. With the X button users can swiftly launch a navigation or maps app, hail an Uber, call a loved one, or navigate directly to their music app, with a tap or two.

Another key feature is that the HUAWEI nova Y72 comes standard with a 50MP camera system, featuring a high-definition main camera and a macro camera. The main 50-megapixel camera, equipped with a large F1.8 aperture, delivers outstanding imaging performance under diverse lighting conditions, enabling users to effortlessly capture clear and vibrant textured images. With its impressive macro camera, users can reveal unseen wonders in small environments, with the HUAWEI nova Y72’s advanced 4-in-1 pixel binning technology and a sensor with 1.4um. The addition of these features effectively helps reduce noise, preserve intricate picture details and expand the dynamic range for remarkable image quality.

The HUAWEI nova Y72’s screen adds a whole new dimension to the phone, with its spacious 6.75-inch screen and an impressive 90.26% high screen-to-body ratio. The HUAWEI nova Y72 offers Eye Comfort mode, utilising software to reduce blue sub-pixels thereby effectively lowering the blue light ratio. This alleviates eye fatigue, enhances colour realism and provides a more comfortable viewing experience.

Even with a large battery ensuring uninterrupted usage, the HUAWEI nova Y72 features 22.5W HUAWEI SuperCharge, which helps to ease low-battery anxiety. The 6000mAh Super Battery System integrates AI Battery Saving technology, Intelligent Charging Management and a comprehensive 20-layer charging protection system and has achieved multi-country battery safety certifications.

The HUAWEI nova Y72 is now available on the HUAWEI online store and in all operator channels across South Africa.

Are you feeling lucky? Stay tuned to HUAWEI’s social media channels to stand the chance to win the HUAWEI nova Y72.
