A Christmas Feast Wrapped in Warmth: Boardwalk Serves the Heart of the Holiday Season

Every December, the spirit of Christmas arrives with its own unmistakable glow — a soft warmth that settles over families, kitchens, and communities. But this year, Boardwalk invites South Africans to set aside the pots, the pans, the endless prep work, and step into a Christmas Day experience crafted with intention, flavour, and joy.

On Thursday, 25 December 2025, from 12pm to 3pm, the Boardwalk International Convention Centre (ICC) and The Pantry will transform into culinary havens where festive magic is not only celebrated — it is served.

For R600 per person — or even with Leisure Points for MVGs — Chef Willie Mcotoyi and his masterful team will prepare a Christmas lunch that is not simply a meal, but an event worthy of memory. For families with little ones, Boardwalk carries the spirit of giving even further: children under four eat for free, while those aged 5–12 dine for only R300.

Bookings are essential, and the festive welcome begins the moment you reach out to Sindi Reed at boardwalk.bookings@suninternational.com or 041 507 7825.

A Feast Designed to Bring Families Together

This year’s Christmas buffet is a heartfelt invitation to gather, reconnect and savour the flavours of tradition blended with the creativity of a world-class culinary team.

Guests will begin with welcome drinks before exploring a thoughtfully curated lineup that spans the comfort of home and the excitement of international flair.

A Christmas Day Not Cooked — but Crafted

In a world where most families spend Christmas morning juggling pots, timing roasts and managing oven schedules, Boardwalk offers something rarer: time. Time to laugh. Time to sit. Time to truly enjoy one another.

Chef Mcotoyi and his team bring not only flavour to the table, but freedom — the freedom to be fully present in a moment that only comes once a year.

Whether guests choose the lively atmosphere of the Boardwalk ICC or the intimate charm of The Pantry, one thing is certain: the warmth of Christmas will be served, piping hot.
