A distinctly African expression of luxury
The interiors were thoughtfully developed by leading South African design specialists.
The original room inspiration and interior design direction were led by David Muirhead and Associates, whose vision reimagined the space through luxurious finishes, elegant detailing and a contemporary interpretation of The Palace’s renowned grandeur.
Adding another layer to the design is a bespoke handcrafted ceramic collection by Claylat.
Inspired by African landscapes and textures, the collection helps reinforce Plume’s identity as a distinctly African luxury experience.
The result is a venue where the design does not compete with the music.
Instead, everything works together.
Dinner, drinks and discovery
The Plume experience extends well beyond the stage.
At the heart of the culinary offering is a signature fine-dining tapestry menu created for sharing, exploration and discovery.
The menu brings together premium local and international ingredients, with an emphasis on bold flavours, exceptional craftsmanship and contemporary presentation.
And for guests looking to make the evening even more indulgent, the experience can be elevated with a curated caviar offering, an extensive champagne collection, premium South African and international wines, rare spirits and signature cocktails.

A new jewel in The Palace portfolio
Plume Jazz Lounge becomes the latest addition to The Palace’s established collection of dining and entertainment spaces.
The venue joins Crystal Court, Tusk Bar, the Pool Deck, Grill Room and the Lost City Croc Lounge, adding a fresh dimension to the resort’s food and beverage offering.
But Plume is not simply another place to eat or drink.

Six months in the making
Creating Plume Jazz Lounge was not an overnight transformation.
The venue was developed over six months, moving from concept to opening before welcoming its first guests on 29 August 2026.
That development has culminated in a destination where four elements are intended to work in harmony: music, cuisine, design and service.
It is an approach that reflects the sophistication and hospitality for which The Palace of the Lost City is known.
